Mother Beach
The weather out west has skipped its meds and gone into a schizophrenzy, swapping solstices. Thank goddess it was a long weekend and that my car still had the guts to wobble to LA. There were a few songs in tow, this one by Sun Araw drifted us down along the misty morning heat of “I and I” Five. The Central Valley at 85 mph sounds like a droning Creedence jam off that lean which describes this song… which in turn looks like miles and miles of parallel sprinklers. Put this on and pet your cat to induce a purr.
This track comes off the 4 track LP Beach Head (2008)

this is a stone cold praying-for-spring-to-come molasses jam. it sounds like some lost in deep space(-man 3) radio transmission that your fm tuner can only pick up when you are perfectly situated in your hammock in a remote blue lagoon with a mai-tai. if you twist the swizzle-stick umbrella one inch too far you loose the entire thing.
What I didn’t mention is that the DJ Paleface jam was on heavy heavy rotation the whole trip. You need to post it, I can’t snipe that gem from your honor.
